Selection of workshop results
This four day intense workshop was initiated by Ipek Gursel (METU Ankara) and myself and dedicated to introduce techniques and concepts of parametric processes as instruments for architectural design and fabrication. Master students of METU developed parametric digital models (Grasshopper and VB Script) and fabricated them out of sheet metal. The workshop included a general introduction to Parametric Design and Fabrication, Software Tutorials, a series of lectures and a unique production experience (Scale 1:1) at the NURUS Factory in Ankara. A central part of the learning was to experience all steps of the design process – from idea to production.
