Once you open the project´s webpage “https://3d.artificialreefdesign.com“, select “https://3d.artificialreefdesign.com/potree/reef/” and click on the thumbnail to open the 3D model of high-resolution digital twin models of (artificial) coral reefs.

Screenshot of the webpage to show where you can freely access and explore all models “https://3d.artificialreefdesign.com/potree/reef/“.

Now you will be able to explore the models and take measurements in your web browser (best with Firefox).

To increase the resolution of the model you can zoom in and under “Appearance” you can increase the number of points to see the original resolution of the scans/ digital twins.

Use the Potree viewer toolset library to measure distance, area, and volume in these high-precision models.

Repeat the same process with another model, e.g. the digital twin model of Prototype 1.

For more information, the development of the entire workflow is described and published as open-access document here.
